LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's swimming team took first place out of 11 teams at the ODAC Relays on Saturday afternoon at the W&L Natatorium.
Highlights from the meet:
-The Generals secured the top spot in all nine races on the day to accumulate 421 points. Randolph-Macon claimed second at the meet with 316 points, while Roanoke came in third with 258. Lynchburg (170) and Bridgewater (85) rounded out the Top 5, and Virginia Wesleyan (39), Guilford (30), Hollins (29), Sweet Briar (21), Randolph (16) and Ferrum (9) rounded out the field.
-W&L was led by senior Ali MacQueen (Memphis, Tenn./St. Mary's Episcopal School) and sophomore Caroline Baber (Richmond, Va./Collegiate School), who both swam on five winning relays. The duo also teamed up on three relay wins, including the 3x50 fly (1:19.05), 200 free (1:39.50) and 400 free (3:39.62) relays.
-Sophomore Claudia Barnett (Charlotte, N.C./South Mecklenburg) put forth a strong afternoon as well, helping four relays to wins, while first-year Jill Cantrell (Harrison, Tenn./Girls Preparatory School) and senior Emily Hageboeck (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) competed on three relays each.

The Generals will return to action next Saturday, when they host Washington (Md.) and Centre in a 1:00 pm tri-meet.
