LEWISBURG, Pa. — Washington and Lee men's track and field senior Mac Strehler (Moseley, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) broke his own school record in the 10,000m on Friday at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell.
Strehler crossed the finish line in 30:19.60, crushing his previous W&L mark (30:50.22) by over 30 seconds. He set that record earlier this season at the W&L Carnival. Strehler placed 22nd overall and was sixth in Division III in the race.
The time registered by Strehler is the eighth-fastest in Division III this season, and that mark would have been quick enough to qualify for the NCAA Championship last season.
The rest of the Generals' squad will compete at the WildCat Invitational hosted by Randolph on Saturday.
