  • Numerous W&L Students Earn Winter Scholar-Athlete Awards

    Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 233 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.
  • 24 Holds "Be the Match" Registration Drive

    On Saturday, February 4, the Washington and Lee University student organization 24 held a “Be The Match” bone marrow registration drive in the Warner Center and had over 87 people register during the event.

    Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that a record 242 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed fall term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.50. The prior record for scholar-athletes in the fall or winter term was 224 set during the fall of 2014.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its 2016 men’s soccer all-conference teams on Thursday and Washington and Lee sophomore Dylan Ritch (Mint Hill, N.C. / Independence) was named the Player of the Year, while junior goalkeeper Gillen Beck (Blacksburg, Va. / Blacksburg) earned the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete award.
